
The mission of Huskers for Higher Education is to provide a statewide organization of Nebraska citizens who are united to raise public awareness about the importance of higher education for the state’s future.
Who Can Help?
Residents of the state of Nebraska with- the desire to help the university and
- a current e-mail address.
How Can You Help?
You will:
- Be provided with clear, concise and result-oriented information about how policy and legislation will impact the university, the state and our future leaders, the students of UNL.
- Be active during the legislative or election cycle.
- Be asked to contact your state senator and others to share this information through calls to action.
- Decide if you agree with the bill or issue and how you wish to proceed.
You will not:
- Be lobbying for the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.
- Be told how to vote on issues.

Success Story: LB 605
In 2006, Huskers for Higher Education contributed to the passage of LB 605, which made possible "the construction of a new physics building, the repair of the Sheldon Gallery, and the renovation of Animal Science and Keim Hall."
