Andrea Wood Cranford is a 1971 graduate of the College of Journalism and Mass Communications and a third-generation University of Nebraska–Lincoln grad. A 38-year member of the alumni staff, she edits Nebraska Magazine, the Good NUz, the eNUz and Web copy and oversees production of all printed materials as well as serving as the unofficial staff historian and “Ask Andy” guru. She also serves on the Integrated Alumni Engagement Committee.

Andrea serves on the board of the Nebraska Press Women as newsletter editor. In addition to earning national honors for her work on alumni publications, she has been recognized by the Press Women with their Achievement Award and by the College of Journalism with the Dean’s Award for Exemplary Service.

Andrea and her husband, Dana, ’73, have two sons – Matt, class of 2000, and Pat. Andrea enjoys reading, interior design, posting on eBay – and, rumor has it, shopping for shoes.
